
Week 13/2024 – Recall ordered for 16 cosmetics and body care products
Market withdrawal: Cosmetics containing Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) – Chemical risk
The recalled products (perfumes, an antiperspirant deodorant, a cleansing tonic, a body spray, a shower gel, a make-up remover and an aftershave) contain the allergen Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial), which has been classified as toxic to reproduction and to the health of the fetus, and may in some cases cause skin sensitization, and all products containing these ingredients in their formulation have been withdrawn from the market.
These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
Czechia and Romania have notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.
Market withdrawal: Cosmetic contaminated with the Aerobic Mesophilic Bacterium Burholderia Cepacia – Microbiological risk
The recalled product (serum) is microbiologically contaminated with the Aerobic Mesophilic Bacterium Burholderia Cepacia, whose measured value is > 30,000 CFU/g and > 15,000 CFU/g of molds and yeasts.
This microbiologically contaminated product can cause infections or irritations, especially in people with compromised immune systems.
This product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
France has notified the withdrawal of this product from the market.
