Market Withdrawal: 23 Cosmetics containing Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) – Chemical risk

The recalled products (eight shower gels, eight perfumes, three shampoos, a hair gel, a body cream, a soap, an after-shave and a hand sanitizer) contain the allergen Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial), which has been classified as toxic to reproduction and to the health of the fetus, and may in some cases cause skin sensitization, and all products containing these ingredients in their formulation have been withdrawn from the market.

These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.

Czechia, Hungary and Romania have notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.

Market withdrawal: Cosmetic with the fragrance Limonene in high concentration – Chemical risk

The recalled product, a handmade soap, contains the fragrance Limonene, with measured values above 100mg/kg and does not indicate the presence of this fragrance in the list of ingredients.
Therefore, this product may cause allergic reactions or skin sensitization, as consumers are not aware of the presence of this fragrance.

This product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.

Germany has notified the withdrawal of this product from the market.
