Market Withdrawal: 23 Cosmetics containing Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) – Chemical risk

The recalled products (7 deodorants, 3 hair conditioners, 2 bath foams, 2 shower gels, 2 shampoos, 2 perfumes, an eau de toilette, a liquid soap, a hairspray, a hair gel and a set with perfume, shower gel and moisturizing cream) contain the allergen Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial), which has been classified as toxic to reproduction and to the health of the unborn child, and may in some cases cause skin sensitization, and all products containing this ingredient in their formulation have been withdrawn from the market.

These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.

Czechia, Italy and Lithuania have notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.
