Market Withdrawal: 50 Cosmetics containing Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) – Chemical risk
The recalled products (20 perfumes, 7 eau de toilette, 4 deodorants, 3 aftersuns, 3 shower gels, hairspray, 2 cosmetic sets, 2 liquid soaps, an aftershave, a shampoo, a body cream, a shaving cream, a make-up remover, a sunscreen, make-up remover wipes and a facial toner) contain the allergen Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial), which has been classified as toxic to reproduction and to the health of the fetus, and may in some cases cause skin sensitization, and all products containing this ingredient in their formulation have been withdrawn from the market.
These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
Czechia, Hungary, Italy and Lithuania have notified the withdrawal of this product from the market.
Market withdrawal: 2 Cosmetics with Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) and Hydroxyiohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (HICC) – Chemical risk
Among these 53 products, two perfumes also contain Hydroxyiohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (HICC), which is prohibited in cosmetic products as it can cause allergic skin reactions.
These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
Italy has notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.
Market withdrawal: Cosmetic contaminated with aerobic mesophilic microorganisms – Microbiological risk
The product is contaminated with aerobic mesophilic microorganisms, with a measured value of 55,000 CFU per gram, and does not contain a list of instructions and warnings. As a result, it can cause ear, skin and eye infections.
This product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
Germany has notified the withdrawal of this product from the market.
