Market withdrawal: Cosmetics containing Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) – Chemical risk

The recalled products (7 perfumes, 2 eau de toillete, an intimate soap, a hand cream and a body splash) contain the allergen Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial), which has been classified as toxic to reproduction and to the health of the fetus, and may in some cases cause skin sensitization, and all products containing this ingredient in their formulation have been withdrawn from the market.

These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.

Hungary and Italy have notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.

Market withdrawal: Cosmetic with Zinc Pyrithione – Chemical risk

The recalled product (cosmetic set) contains Zinc Pyrithione, which is banned in cosmetic products. Zinc pyrithione can cause harm to the unborn child.

This product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.

Ireland has notified the withdrawal of this product from the market.
