Market withdrawal: Cosmetics containing Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) – Chemical risk
The recalled products (7 perfumes, 6 eau de toilette, 3 shampoos, 3 hair masks, 2 hair conditioners, a moisturizing cream, a shower gel and a hair dye) contain the allergen Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial), which has been classified as toxic to reproduction and to the health of the fetus, and may in some cases cause skin sensitization, and all products containing this ingredient in their formulation have been withdrawn from the market.
These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
Italy has notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.
Market withdrawal: Cosmetics contaminated with aerobic microorganisms – Microbiological risk
The recalled products (2 concealers) are microbiologically contaminated with aerobic microorganisms, with measured values of up to 3100 CFU/ml. If they are used on damaged skin or come into contact with the eyes, the product can cause infections or irritations.
These products do not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
Cyprus has notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.
Market withdrawal: Cosmetic with Hydroquinone – Chemical risk
The recalled product (skin lightening lotion) contains hydroquinone (measured value: 4.20 %), which is banned in this cosmetic product. Hydroquinone can cause an allergic skin reaction, can cause cancer and causes serious eye damage.
This product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
Germany has notified the withdrawal of these products from the market.
